One of the side effects of doing two full 52 week photo projects is a huge, HUGE fabric stash. I was looking at it the other night and thought that I really need to organize it. Then I realized I should do more than organize it. I should actually make something. Let operation use-up-my-crazy-fabric-stash-and-not-be-a-hoarder commence! First up: a quilted Nook reader cover!
This is one of my favorite fabrics, that I’d been saving, and hoarding. I’ve used it in a few different projects (Alma’s tuffet, Harriet’s quilt, which apparently I never put on the blog), but I’ve been meaning to do something else with it.
I’ve also been meaning to make a padded case for my Nook e-reader for a while now, too.
Today, I finally got around to making it!
It was a quick (think the amount of time it takes for your three year old to watch Cinderella), and easy project to sew.
It is padded, quilted, has a velcro tab, and a generous fold-over to protect my Nook.
If you want me to make something like this for your e-reader, laptop, tablet, phone, or whatever, let me know! I have lots of fabrics to chose from!
